COURSES REGARDING CHILD PROTECTION
-
Child Protection Level 1-4
This course is an insightful look at the topic of child protection. It provides clarity from a legal perspective. The signs and indicators of possible abuse are discussed. Direct and indirect evidence and full and partial disclosure are indicated with case studies. We look at child protection in terms of Scottish law. We explore GIRFEC and how this can support and guide your approaches to Play and trauma. Case studies are utilised to engage participants in discussion around child protection, police, social services and professional dilemmas. Video clips are also used to demonstrate various aspects of the reporting process. We complete the course by going over the process of preparing and reporting in a case conference. This is extremely useful and interesting learning that all people working with children in any capacity should attend.
